Lisa Lucke is a freelance writer and editor and former public high school English teacher living in the Northern California foothills. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has resided in Amador County for the past 15 years, where her ancestors settled five generations ago.
Lisa has written for magazines, newspapers, radio and the Web, and is a regular contributor to the online magazine, Life as a Human. For the last five or so years, her professional work has focused on technical writing and editing, across many industries, including publishing, commercial building, food & wine, health & fitness, and hospitality.
Personal projects include a memoir, 13 to 33, which is under construction and chronicles 20 years of her life that continue to nauseate and intrigue her. One of her newest endeavors is a food blog, Amador Food & Review, which publishes at Life as a Human.
