Lisa Lucke is a professional writer and editor in Northern California. She was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and now lives in the same Sierra Nevada foothill town where her Italian, Irish and Yugoslavian ancestors settled four generations ago.
Lisa is the owner of Lucke Writing & Editing Services, a comprehensive enterprise that specializes in saying yes — yes to technical, business, and creative projects for just about any audience or purpose. She is a nimble and detail-oriented wordsmith who excels at bringing a touch of humanity to technical projects and conversely, incorporating technical aspects/authority to creative projects. Balance = perfection.
Personal projects include a memoir — 13 to 33: My 20 Years as a Missing Person (in progress), and two blogs, just for fun. The Surreal Housewife, started in 2008, chronicled her years as a mom, stepmom, and second wife, and now finds fodder in her life as an (often) empty-nester, along with her husband, border collie and kitty. Her more recent creation, Amador Food & Review, is a creative outlet where her love of food, cooking, and critiquing the restaurant industry, which she spent 15 years toiling in and mostly remembers, intersects with her passion for writing.
